Thinking of purchasing an ar-15 but I don't want to spend more than $1000. I was looking as some del-ton kits as well as flattop Windham Weaponry or should I just build from scratch? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Sig Sauer M400 I bought a few years back. Love it. Sigs can be pricey. I'm guessing around $1200. to start for an M400. A complete kit is a good idea and could save you a couple hundred bucks. If you're handy, you could even get an 80% lower with a complete kit minus the lower.
