Been looking into
Sig’ 1911
are those the best for the price —what you get vs say P220, glock 21, fn45 etc
I get it all depends on individual and what looking for.

I always here off/on info on 1911 reliability. the biggest thing for me as strange as maybe is the diff style trigger .. feels more like a click -touch of a button vs say the 220 or a beretta- forget about the whole da/sa argument you can make any trigger butter smooth with enough attention.

mainly want to get feedback on trigger feel what are others people’s preference?
have you noticed the difference?
feeling like a click of a button than the idea of pulling a trigger ?

obviously the 1911 isnt a platform im too familiar with is it just something you have to get used to or can you swap out triggers to be more of a lever? has anyone seen that ?

thanks.

also if anyone has experience with sig sauer versions if 1911 and can compare to rock island in anyway i’d be grateful.

Back in Ancient history of the 1960's there were a lot of World War 2, 1911A1 pistols available at local gun shops at prices that would be seem impossible in this day and age. I purchased a 1943 Colt 1911A1 for only $35.00 in 1964. I shot it a lot and when I got my Police appointment in 1965 I started carrying this pistol as my duty weapon. My Chief of Police did not like my carrying a 1911A1 cocked and locked. He was ok with me carrying my other handgun a model 58 S&W in 41 Magnum. Over the years I was convinced that a Police Pistol needed to be D A and had gotten rid of my 1911A1. After retiring I wanted to try a 1911 again but of course 1911A1s were selling for more than $1000. Finally I found a slightly used Ruger SR1911. The sights were much better than the 1911A1. I really like it my Ruger.
