A really nice rifle! In a cartridge that I was not familiar with. Does the 535 mean it was modified from 8 x 50 R mm to 8 X 56 R S in May 1935 ? I like the forward mounted Scope. Is that The Gil Hebard scope? A real nice setup.

I do not have any lately made 7.7 Jap but have a number of post war rounds as well as a very few WW2 rounds. As I recall the bullets are .312 like the .303 British.

I have some more pictures. The U S Cartridge Co. was gone before W W 2. I got my S&W mod 57 and my buddy went to the range to try it out. Someone on the range asked what we were shooting? My buddy yelled .41 Magnum. The guy yelled "What the heck is a 41 Magnum?" " One better than a 40 S&W" was my buddy's answer.
The last picture is a couple different 9mm Luger ammo boxes.
I had the chance to buy this Full Box of Proof Loads in 44 Magnum

I recently got an odd Belgium revolver that takes 32 Short Colt for ammo but although I have a lot of 32 Auto and 32 S&W ammo I only found only 6 32 Short Colt single rounds with different head stamps in my cartridge collection.
