In New Hampshire and northeast Massachusetts I have seen them on the roads on several occasions. I saw one within a block of the center of Amesbury, MA and while I was in Northern NH Hunting for moose, My Daughter in Law was watching one from her home in Amesbury, MA. so they are not that hard to find but having them where You can shoot them in the limited time, place, and with that very wonderful permit is the problem.

I've had a lot of game meet ,have no idea what it's like.

I have had a lot of different wild animal meat. When my buddy got his Moose permit number of people ask him or me for any spare moose meat. Unfortunately we did not find a Moose with horns, One couple that were strict Vegetarians had asked me for moose meat if we got one. They had lived in Canada for a period of time and loved Moose meat even though they did not eat any other meat. Once a year there is a Church Outdoor Club that puts on a Game Dinner . I have been really pleased to attend that function for a number of years. From Squirrels, to rabbit, bear, venison, wild pig, moose, elk, and exotic African Game there there is always something new to try.
