You're going to look far and wide to find an honest one...

You're usually better off getting to know a small local shop and use them often. Most are honest and want return customers. Of course there are shady shops out there, but in my experience most are not out to rip off their customers.

Agreed. Ripping of a single customer for a couple hundred bucks is not nearly as profitable as a returning customer spending hundreds every time for legit repairs/service.

Also local gun shops ;-)

The N H yearly inspection is now the reading of your car's computer by a state authorized read out. Tires, Rust Holes, and such are of course judgment calls but limited to State requirements. I have seen stations have their Inspection Licenses taken away by the state of N H for wrong doing.

Heard a lot about Manchester Firing Line. It's a range and gun shop. I personally have never been there, but a few of my friends have been and seem to like it.

The garage I find most honest is Top Gun Automotive I'm Goffstown. Maybe Midcity if they are still around, but being on silver st; I'd make sure to stop at the gun shop first, Manchester has been a little trigger crazy lately :naughty:

As for gun shops I prefer Shooters Outpost, especially since Riley's closed. I'm not a fan of Manchester Firing Line, they go through employees fast and they are extremely opinionated in their favorite manufacturers and why others are terrible (one told me kimber 1911s tend to blow up?!)

Same boat here. We just submitted a offer today on a house in Merrimack. We are from or still in Michigan. Gonna be interesting. As things are not the same. Working in the auto industry and still my Master ASE. I am interested to see if the shop tries anything fishy. Gun shops? Yea, going to need to find some good ones. But, I like buying second hand to save some cash. I have noticed the for sale section is not used. Why is that?
