:rolling: Kids. We had a few shady kids in the neighborhood. I was probably 8 or 10 years old at the time.

Back in the 1970s the Buck Knives were big and a lot of people were carrying a black Buck knife case on their belt. As a Police Officer that could wear any duty gun we wanted as the Town would not want to buy them for us. I started carrying a S&W model 39-2 9mm. I of course got a double black magazine case for my 2 spare 9mm magazines that I wore on my duty holster belt.
One day a young man came up to me and asked "Why do you carry 2 Buck Knives?" pointing to the double magazine case. I had to smile and explain that they were not Buck Knives but rather my spare ammo.

The Swiss Army Knife comes in so many different models with so many different blades and even different makers you could have a huge collection of just Swiss Army Knives. It is nice to have the book. I am sure I could find several Swiss Army Knives here in my house. Enjoy your present to yourself.

It's been used every day, I like it, , been reading the swiss Army knife book, the author has some great tips
One is replace the tooth pic ,on the knife with a good size needle, for sewing repairs, to equipment/ backpacks etc.

99% of the time I have my CRKT M21-14, sometimes the M16-04 with the Tanto style blade. They are about 9 1/2" open. I usually have one of my many Case made Zippo stainless folders in my pocket. Sadly they stopped making them. Slim, tight lockup, sturdy hollow ground blade that stays sharp. Many times I will carry an Olight flashlight.
