Thinking of older shooters, I was thinking of when I was supervising the range one day a week for several years and thought of a couple guys that visited the range one cold morning. The first was a young guy that had an AK47 with 3 30 round magazine. He went down to the 100 yard target frame and put up a target and went back to the firing line and fired his 3 loaded magazine in 2 minutes or less and when the gun was empty it was extremely hot and I don't think that he hit his target much. He did not bother to go down and pick it up. The second shooter was an older gentleman and he went down and stapled a target to the target frame and set his scoped rifle on the bench and his spotting scope. He carefully fired a round and checked the hit with his spotting scope. He waited until the rifle was cold again and fired another carefully aimed round. He did fire at least 3 rounds before making a change in his scope setting. Each shot was when when the rifle had cooled and was carefully aimed . He took at least an hour to fire his box of 20 rounds. When he was finished he went down and brought back a well shot target.
