On March 16th, the Senate Public Safety Committee will be hearing Senate Bill 264 to ban the sale of firearms, firearm parts, or ammunition on state or county property. Please contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE SB 264.
Senate Bill 264 bans county and state officers, employees, operators, lessees or licensees from entering into any agreement to allow for the sale of any firearm, firearm parts, or ammunition on property that is owned, leased, occupied or operated by the state or county. This imposes a one-size-fits-all restriction upon all jurisdictions in the whole state, to prevent them from deciding how to use their venues. In addition, this prevents tax-paying businesses from renting taxpayer-funded venues for lawful activities. Again, please contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE SB 264.
