The Pachmayr Snare is a nice mid-sized EDC.U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- I started testing the Pachmayr Snare knife this week. At first blush, I thought that it was just a hair too thick in the handle and a little too short overall. After opening it and using it I totally did a 180 and liked it. Yes, I like a little longer blade but with 2 5/8” of cutting blade, it will more than suffice for my EDC needs. Pachmayr Snare Folding Knife For three reasons I feel like that I really have a firm grip on the Pachmayr Snare while holding it:

- It has a good finger groove.
- The flipper extends out where the finger guard leaves off which provides for a good, stable grip.
- The blade sets about ¼” above the top of the handle and has thumb grooves trailing up the spine to the top of the spine. Due to the upraised blade, your thumb is pushing right into the thumb grooves on the spine (top of the hilt of the blade) which locks it into your hand.
