‘Prohibited Person’ Eminem’s Hypocritical Gun Stance as Vapid as His ‘Music’

That's some “common-sense gun safety”! Seeing as how the anti-gun rapper is a prohibited person, that gun had better be a prop. (Eminem / Twitter)U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Rapper Eminem once again dropped a surprise album, releasing ‘Music to Be Murdered By’ on Friday — along with a video that calls for changes to gun laws,” the Associated Press gushed Friday in a hit piece on the right to keep and bear arms carried by the increasingly lurching-to-the-left Fox News. “The Detroit rapper’s new music video for ‘Darkness,’ one of the album’s 20 tracks, depicts a shooting at a concert.” How original. Not. Madonna pulled a similar stunt recently, pretending to be a shooting victim at a Pulse Nightclub-type scene that conveniently omitted her armed guard who shot an intruder on her estate. Something else that’s not original—pretending his appropriation of cover art is an homage. Alfred Hitchcock’s photo was an example of his trademark macabre humor employed in the opening monologues to his TV show, It was intended to entertain. Eminem, or Slim Shady, or Marshall Mathers, or whatever voice is coming out of Legion at the moment, is doing it to demand an unchallengeable state monopoly of violence. He wants the government to deploy armed enforcers to deny you and your posterity your fundamental birthright. Speaking of photos, it’s curious that the portrait selected for this piece features the cRap music “star” posing in front of a Weinstein Company backdrop. I’m still waiting on Harvey to make good on his threat to make gun owners “wish [we] weren’t alive.” So what, specifically, does Emislimathers want to see happen on guns? Evidently, everything, as he offers no specifics. You know, “Something must be done!” “When will this end? When enough people care,” he admonishes. “Register to vote at vote.gov. Make your voice heard and help change gun laws in America.” “Change”? How? That Slime Shady can’t point to one “gun law” that would make a difference is not the point. The gun-grabbers aren’t after just one gun law. This is why he urges his useful idiot followers (and face it, if you were one, you’d have to be) to follow the lead of Everytown, Gungrabby Gabby and other government über alles cultists. You know, surrender their rights to a control freak New York billionaire who wants to micromanage their salt and soda intake in addition to keeping guns out of the hands of “those people.” It would seem music style isn’t the only thing he wants to appropriate. What remains to be seen is how many of the people dumb enough to make this guy “worth” $230 million are also dumb enough to overlook his demands to disarm his countrymen, and how many know he not only employs personal bodyguards but has reportedly demonstrated his personal affinity for engaging “gun violence” (a term invented by power-coveting swindlers to divert attention from personal responsibility to the object they want to exclusively possess): “’The last time that I seen Em, we both had our hands on our weapons,’ Williams tells Prez and Mac Jay of MMM. ‘That’s the last time I seen him. We had our hands on our guns man! O.K. Corral, man! That’s how the relationship ended with Em and I, we had our hands on our guns.’” This is hardly the first time we’ve seen projection and self-mistrust factor into calls to disarm others. And naturally, that can’t manifest itself without vile and lying insults: “NRA loves their guns more than our children.” I’m the NRA, bub. My (not the collectivist “our”) children (wished shot to death by another self control-challenged gun-grabber, by the way) grew up fine without the example of a substance-abusing dysfunctional, violent creep to imprint off of. And I’ll not be lectured on guns by a “prohibited person” whose out-of-control behavior with multiple criminal violations has disqualified him from owning them. Speaking of which, if he really wants the state to go big on “gun control,” how about we start with him? If he is prohibited from even touching a gun, I’d be curious to see if the one he’s holding on that album cover is a real one or a prop. As such things are thoroughly accounted for by corporate records in order to comply with IRS filing requirements, there’s no doubt an “accounts payable” invoice from an armorer that could tell us if 18 U.S. Code § 922 requirements for “receiving a firearm in interstate or foreign commerce” have been observed. No?
