Image2020 National R3 SymposiumWashington, D.C. – -(AmmoLand.com)- The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports opened registration for the 2020 National R3 symposium today. The National R3 Symposium is a national event dedicated to ensuring the future of conservation through the recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of participants in hunting, target shooting, angling, boating, and other outdoor recreation. Registration for the event will cost $250.00 and includes access to all of the event sessions and many meals. “We have worked hard with our partners and sponsors to ensure that the registration cost isn’t prohibitive to attendance,” said Samantha Pedder, Director of Operations for the Council. “In 2018, 325 individuals representing more than 100 organizations attended the first-ever National R3 Symposium. The low cost of attendance for this event helps to ensure that we welcome professionals and partners from all segments of the conservation community – and we will continue to work with our partners and sponsors to maintain this low cost for 2020.” The Symposium, planned for May 12-14, 2020 at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center in Broken Arrow, OK, will include sessions tailored for R3 coordinators, industry, government, and other conservation non-profits. Key sessions will focus on opportunities for professionals and organizations to partner and address present challenges as well as the on-the-ground implementation of R3 efforts at the state, regional, and national levels. The Plenary sessions will feature well-known and influential speakers from industry, agency, and conservation partners. It will offer a celebration of R3 successes in the last two years while also addressing challenges and opportunities for future R3 efforts. “Anyone with a vested interest in increasing participation in outdoor recreation – from CEOs and presidents to R3 coordinators, educators, marketers, volunteers, or anyone else working on these issues for their organizations – should plan to be at this event” stated John Frampton, Council CEO, and President. “The future of conservation and outdoor recreation depends on our success in this R3 effort, and it is incumbent upon us to ensure we are addressing these challenges in both a collaborative and strategic manner. We need everyone to work together to move this effort forward, and the National R3 Symposium will play an important part in that journey.” Join the Council and its numerous partners in Broken Arrow, OK, May 12-14, 2020 – and be a part of this effort to help ensure the future of outdoor recreation and conservation.
