Photo by: Brigida SanchezU.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- The Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) just released fresh information that Virginians and Americans everywhere should know about concealed carry and Army Corps of Engineers property. They're also raising awareness for comments needed on upcoming legislation dealing with the legality of concealed carrying on these lands. So make sure to swing by their site and let your opinion be heard. For the full rundown, continue reading. This is great news! We need to flood a public comment page with support for a proposed Corps of Engineers (COE) regulation change that will allow carry on COE Water Resources Development Projects in the same way we can currently carry in National Parks and other lands owned by the federal government! In other words, it would be legal to carry on COE Water Resources Development Projects in Virginia either openly or, if you have a CHP, concealed. Currently you can only carry on COE Water Resources Development Projects if you get special permission to do so. When traveling out of state, you would be able to carry on COE Water Resources Development Projects, in the same manner, you could carry off the property in that state. For some states that might be concealed only, assuming you have a permit that state accepts. For others, open carry might be permissible. Click here to see more information on COE Water Resources Development Projects in Virginia and other states. Click here to enter your comments. Right now it is showing only 39 comments, as the comment period has just begun. It will be updated once a day. Sample comment (feel free to customize): I strongly support the proposed regulation change to make the carry of firearms on COE Water Resources Development Projects consistent with other federal lands, such as National Parks.
