ImageiStock.com/RiverNorthPhotography Jacksonville, Texas, police officers were helped by a good Samaritan waiting in line for a Chick-Fil-A sandwich while they were pursuing a fleeing suspect. The man was waiting in a drive thru Chick-Fil-A when the police chase led right to his car door – literally. In video footage shown on KLTV news, a man can be seen running away from an officer in between parallel drive thru lines. One of the customers opened his truck door at just the moment the suspect was rushing by, sending him flying off balance and allowing the officer to tackle him. Jacksonville police officers say the suspect was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The man got out of the car and began running from police, who then gave chase. Fortunately, the chase led straight to Chick-Fil-A, a fast-food restaurant known for its great “customer service.” Police joked on social media that the “HANGRY but helpful” customer reminded the suspect why you should never run from the police. The Facebook post did not state what specific charges the suspect will face, and the helpful customer was not identified, but several commenters suggested that he deserved free Chick-Fil-A.
