ImageToledo P.D. via Facebook The Toledo Police Department is memorializing its fallen officers in a special way that ensures their legacy lives on in the community. Each of the agency’s substations will feature a “Little Free Library” out front, where anyone can take or donate a book. The Ottawa Park Substation unveiled its library in June in memory of Officers Anthony Dia (EOW July 4, 2020) and Brandon Stalker (EOW January 18, 2021), with members of the fallen heroes’ families in attendance. The little library was designed and built by R.E.S.K. Woodworking and funded in part by the Toledo Police Foundation, and stickers in memory of the officers will be placed inside each donated book.
