Any body enjoy using their British Enfield's for target
Shooting or hunting. Not just collecting.
I have restored a couple, that some lugnut sporterized.
The last one I did is a miss fit. But at least it looks like the military
Rifle it once was. And I enjoy shooting it on the range.
I make woodchuck targets out of cardboard, and have fun even making the targets. Have NRA official woodchuck targets, but out at 60 yards or more the target looks like it a plane sheet of white
Paper looking true battle app / iron sites .
Will try to upload pictures later

That Ain't no bear, that's my official 300yd woodchuck.
I figured if a 1000yd bull, can be bigger than a 25ft pistol target bull,
Then I can make my wood chucks bigger.

Mostly from gun shops, I like to find ones that have been sporterized, but with out the barrel cut down.
Then I start looking for all the original stock parts and hardware.

Right now iam working on getting one of my Enfield's
Setup to try and make a 400 yd. Shot at my woodchuck
Target I made a couple days ago. The reason is according to the British Soldier rifle manual, the height
Of the front site, was made to be a range finder, the height equals the average height of a soldier body at 400 meters . That is a heck of a shot with iron sites.
So iam looking for a safe place on our old farm to make this shot. Got my range finder out and took a walk around the farm, and my range finder wouldn't record distance off the trees, so have to post something down range to reflect off of to get the distance.

The feature of the front site was introduced on the
P13/p14 rifles & carry over to the No4 MK1 and No5 MK1, jungle carbine Lee Enfield's in the late 1930's

That is a hell of a long shot. Sniper range. 400 meters is about 1/4 mile. Definitely share some pics or video if you wouldn't mind.

Yup. Just at the club range, cold and windy my hands froze. But got an idea of the velocity of the ammo
Compared to what the box says.so I figure out about what the bullet drop will be.
I thought the wind was going to blow my chronograph
Over, the Hornady 150 gr light magnum on the box says
2830 fps out of my rifle 2852 . The dominion sabre tip 150 gr. 2720 fps, my rifle 2527.
