I've come close a few times to starting my military collection with a Norinco SKS - basically because they're inexpensive (generally) and it's an easy way to get my old-style military rifle collection started. Thoughts?

They use to be cheep, not anymore in my view.
They were in crate's for $ 200.00 for a rifle.
They aren't worth the money , they want for them now.
Even the ones with chrome lined barrel s.
Just my two cents.
Good luck with your collection.

I do remember seeing them online for around $225 a few years back. They're probably junk but still something I wouldn't mind having in the collection. To be honest, I'm not very familiar with them. I just spotted them on some surplus site a while back. :geek:

For me, learning about the history of the rifle, and what all the Arsenal stamps, and markings mean, that can tell you were the rifle was , and what country used it. Is a big part of the fun for me.
Enjoy.

Interesting stuff. As soon as Jan. 1 gets here, it's a new budget. :)
