By PoliceOne Staff LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Police have identified the law enforcement officer killed in a shooting Thursday morning. According to KATV, 56-year-old Sgt. Mike Stephen was shot and killed while responding to a domestic welfare call at a home. As he was speaking to a woman at the home, he and the woman were shot. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment and is being questioned by investigators. The suspected gunman, who police did not identify, was also killed at the scene. Stephen was a U.S. Army veteran who served in law enforcement for 20 years. He was also the chief of a local volunteer fire department.
