Kansas –-(Ammoland.com)- The 2018 Kansas legislative session is off the starting line, and it has promised from day-one to be an interesting year.
Last session, we fought long and hard to defend your right to keep and bear arms, and we beat the anti-gun crowd on one issue after another.

While we ultimately lost the legislative battle on the KU Med Center issue when the Governor allowed the bill to become law without his signature, we haven't given up.
Campus carry has been a huge success since implementation!
As our PAC Chairman recently told the Wichita Eagle, we haven't seen any of the anti-gun hype come to fruition yet. No blood in the streets. No law-abiding college students committing mass violence with a firearm.
But this is no surprise to any of us.
You knew as well as we did that the hype was completely unjustified.
To those of us who have been involved in the movement for a while, we knew it was just regurgitated talking points the other side had used many times before. Remember the original passage of concealed carry? How about the passage of constitutional carry, state preemption of local gun laws, and literally every other pro-gun measure we've worked so hard on? The hype was the same. And the results prove our point for us.
Looking forward, while we have some staunch champions of the 2nd Amendment in both the House and Senate, we also have a large number that have proven they can't be trusted when the going gets tough.
Kansas has made more progress than any other state in defending the 2nd Amendment over the past decade, but we can't stop now.

Your right to effective self-defense is at stake. Protect it.
