By PoliceOne Staff LINCOLN PARISH, La. — A K-9 with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office was fatally shot early Friday morning as he attempted to apprehend a suspect. reported that deputies arrived to arrest a suspect Friday evening in Lincoln Parish. The man was believed to have shot his girlfriend in the head earlier in the day. As they arrived on scene, the man ran into a wooded area behind the house. K-9 Boxo was released and shortly thereafter deputies heard five to seven gunshots, KNOE reported.
